male reproductive part of flower consists of anther and filament . The female reproductive part consists of stigma , style and ovary .
anther contains pollen grains which contain male gamete . the transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma takes place by a pollinating agent like insect . Due to pollination the pollen grain reaches stigma of the flower . Stigma slightly ruptures its wall and develops a pollen tube which reaches the ovary . Ovary contains female gametes . Hence fertilization takes place .

\textbf{Carpel or Pistil}

It is a female part of flower. It consists of 3 parts :-

a) Upper broad portion called stigma. It reduces the pollen grains.

b) Middle thin part called Style. It transfer the pollen grains from stigma to ovule.

c) Basal swollen portion called Ovary. Ovary contains ovule which contains female gamates.

Fower consists of two parts one is male and other is female part. Male part consists of anther and filament. And the female part consists of stigma, style and ovary; ovary conatins egg.

When pollen grain reach the stigma of a plant by air, water, insects etc. Then it produce some liquid substance which is absorbed by the pollen grain. Then it forms a tube which ultimately reaches the ovule of the ovary. Ovary contains egg.

Now, the two male gamates (pollen grains) travel through that tube and reach in ovary. When one male gamate fuse with egg then zygote. The zygote forms by the process pf fertilization. Now the fertilization takes palace in plants so it is known as syngamy.

The other male gamate fuse with two polar nuclei. Then it is known as TRIPLE FUSION to produce triploid primary endosperm nucleus.

As, the fusion occurs two times. So, it is known as DOUBLE FUSION.

After it the zygote develops into the embryo and the primary endosperm nucleus develops into endosperm which provides nourishment to the developing embryo.

And at the end, ovule develops into seed and ovary into fruit.
