The mangrove forests are found in the coastal areas which are influenced by tides. The roots of the mangrove trees are submerged in water. Mangrove forests are found in the deltaic areas of the Ganga, Mahanadi, Krishna, Godavari and Kaveri rivers. In the Ganga Brahmaputra delta, Sundari trees are found.
