mantle is the layer inside a terrestial planet and some other rocky bodies
characteristics:
the inner core is solid the outer core is liquid
the lower mantle is under tremendous pressure 
temperatures range between 500 to 900 degrees C on the boundary with the crust and to over 4000 degree C on the boundary with the core

The mantle is a layer inside a terrestrial planets & and some other Rocky planetary bodies. the Mantle is surrounded by the crust.
1. the Mantle consists of many minerals & elements like iron , magnesium, aluminium and silicon
2.the asthenosphere is the hard liquid part of the Mantle & lithosphere is a stiff part of the outer Mantle
