⭐DETAILED MECHANISM OF BREATHING⭐

✔ Breathing takes place in two steps - Inhalation and Exhalation.

✔ During Inhalation or Inspiration, the ribs are pushed upward and outward and the diaphragm contracts and moves downwards.

✔ During Expiration, the ribs move downward amd inward and the diaphragm relaxes and moves upward to its original position.

✔ During breathing, inspiration causes increase in the space of chest cavity whereas expitation causes decrease in the space of chest cavity.

Now, a question will arise in the mind of the readers. The question is - What type of process is breathing?

➡ In detail we will say Breathing is a physical as well as involuntary process which takes place outside the Body Cells.

One more question will arise. The question is during INHALATION AND EXHALATION, what happens to lungs?

➡ Answer is during inhalation, the lungs expand whereas during exhalation, the lungs contract.
