when we breath in oxygen , the oxygen reaches the lung alveoli where the exchange takes place. there are blood vessels present in the alveoli which take the oxygen into the blood. the blood will take tgis dissolved o2 to every part of the body. from the other parts the blood in return will take the co2 and take it to the alveoli where the exchange takes place. thus when we breath in oxygen is given to alveoli and co2 from the alveoli is taken from the alveoli which we breath out.
