When the food enters in the stomach of human beings the ending crime gland present in stomach walls release their secretion which contains 3 enzymes basically, pepsin, HCl and mucus . Mucus protects the inner lining of stomach from its own secretion of HCl . HCl regulates the functioning of pepsin . It makes food acidic so that the protein digestive enzymes pepsin can do its work. When food enters in small intestine the lypase digest fats and trypsin digest protein into ammino acid
