Answer:

To find the density of an object, start by determining the object's mass and volume. Then, divide the mass by the volume to find the object's density. Remember to write your answer in grams per cubic centimeter.

Answer:

  • density of a substance is its mass per unit volume
  • if a object's density is greater than 1.0, it will sink in water. Else, it will float.
  • density of a material varies with temperature and pressure
  • Specific gravity = density / density of water

METHOD ➜ density = mass/volume

example : for a 20-gram mass that takes up a volume of 5 cubic centimetres

density is :- 20/5 gm/cm³

= 4 gm/cm³
