advantages : pickling rivals freezing , canning and drying for preventing foods from spoiling . many fermented foods are also good sources of nutrients including vitamins ,amino acids and healthy.

disadvantages:1) causes food poisoning with poor storage.

2) prolonged use of food containing preservatives can be dangerous to human health.

3)alters the food flavours

4) cause loss of some nutrients.
