Code of conduct are certain rules and regulations which should be followed be followed by political parties and contesting candidates during an election.
According to the code of conduct
1) No political leader can use any place of worship for election propaganda.
2) No political leader can use government vehicles, aicrafts and officials for election.
3) No new big political decision could be taken after the date of election is declared.
4) No political leader can bribe or threaten voters.
5) Use govt. places for campaign.
6) Can't spend more than rupees 25 lakh in a constituency for a Lok Sabha election or rupees 10 lakh in a constituency in an assembly election.

According to a Model Code of Conduct of the election campaigns. No party or candidate can:
● Use any place of worship for election propaganda;
● Use government vehicles, aircraft and officials for elections
● Once elections are announced, Ministers shall not lay the foundation
stones of any projects, take any big policy decisions or make any
promises of providing public facilities.
