monohybrid cross refers to the cross in which only one character is taken in consideration .
for eg- if we take pea plant example
tall pea plant(TT)×dwarf pea plant(tt)
hybrid is Tt.in this eg- only height of the plant is studied.
while as in case of dihybrid cross two characters are taken .
for eg- yellow and round seed (YYRR)×green and wrinkled seed(rryy)
hybrid is RrYy.
both the crosses have different phenotypic and genotypic ratios.
