\orange{\bigstar}  Given  \green{\bigstar}

Constant acceleration = 10 m/s²

Body starts from rest

Time taken is 2 sec

\orange{\bigstar}  To Find  \green{\bigstar}

Distance covered in 2 s

\orange{\bigstar}  Concept Used  \green{\bigstar}

 As the acceleration of a body is constant throughout the motion , so we need to apply equation's of motion

\orange{\bigstar}  Solution  \green{\bigstar}

The motion of the body is in a straight line

Acceleration , a = 10 m/s²

Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s

[ ∵ start's from rest ]

Time , t = 2 s

Distance , s = ? m

Apply 2nd equation of motion ,

\bf \to s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2\ \; \pink{\bigstar}\\\\\to \rm s=(0)(2)+\dfrac{1}{2}(10)(2^2)\\\\\to \rm s=0+5(4)\\\\\to \bf s=20\ m\ \; \pink{\bigstar}

So , The body will cover 20 m in 2 sec .

The distance covered in 2 sec is 20 m.

Explanation:

Given that,

Acceleration a = 10 m/s²

Initial velocity u = o

Time t = 2

Using equation of motion

s = ut+½at²....(I)

Where, u = initial velocity

s = distance

t = time

a = acceleration

We substitute the value in equation (I)

s = 0+½×10×2×2

s = 20 m

Hence, The distance covered in 2 sec is 20 m.
