The music master had a bony figure. He was almost bald but had a fringe of oily black hair probably to cover his baldness. This fringe was long enough and could be tugged behind the ear. He also had an old fashioned tuft jutting out to give him an old fashioned look. He wore a gleaming gold chain around his leathery neck and a diamond ring that glittered as his hand glided up and down the stem of the violin. He wore a gold bordered ‘veshti’ that gave him a rich look . A large foot stuck out from beneath it. He was a good violin player who created lovely music with great melody and rhythm.
