The Napoleonic code of 1804 also know as the civil code of 1804,
1)did away with all privileges based on birth
2) established equality before law and secured right to property
3) it abolished feudal system and freed peasants from serfdom and manorial dues. in towns guild restrictions were removed.
4) Transport and communication system were improved.
5) uniform laws, standardised weights and measures and a common national currency facilitated the movement and exchange of goods and capital from one region to another.
