“The snake and the mirror “ is a beautiful short story which was written by a very famous malayali writer Vaikom Mohammad Basheer also known as beypore sultan. In the very story the narrator Doctor Frankly who was a medical practitioner expertised in homeopathy tells about his experience with a deadly cobra at a rented hotel room.
The narrator expresses in order to look handsome it was looking at the mirror but at that very moment he saw a deadly cobra on his hand, with death looming over his head he started praying and his prayers were answered soon as the snake kept looking at the mirror and started admiring itself.
