Introduction :

• "The Black Aeroplane" is a story of a pilot who decides to take a huge risk in order to be able to meet his family, and have a scrumptious English breakfast.

Required answer :

• He risks flying home in spite of the huge mountain like black storm clouds in front of him.

• However, taking the risk backfires on the pilot and he is caught in a dreadful situation.

• When the pilot flew into the storm everything went black.

• The old aeroplane jumped and twisted in the air.

• To his surprise at horror the compass went dead.

• He tried to contact the Paris control office but there was no answer the radio and all other instruments had stopped working as well.

• He was stuck in the storm with almost no fuel and no sense of direction.

• He was really frightened and realised how police she had been to risk his life.

• Suddenly he saw another plane.

• The pilot waved to him asking him to follow.

• He did as instructed and followed the other aeroplane through the storm.

• After sometime, the aeroplane in front started going down; the Dakota followed.

• Sure enough, the pilot saw two long straight light of the runaway ahead of him.

• On realising that he had reached an airport and was safe, he felt most relieved and very thankful for the pilot who had helped him

As the pilot (author) entered the storm, his plane started jumping and twisting. He could not see anything outside the plane as it was black. When he looked at compass and other instruments they had stopped to function due to storm. It was a terrible and fearsome experience for him. The fuel tank was almost empty and he could not fly more than ten minutes. Then, he saw another black aeroplane by his side and the pilot of the plane signalled him to follow. It was a surprise for the narrator, as the other black plane had no light. He followed him without any choice and landed safely on the runway.

After he flew into the storm, the narrator couldn't see anything outside the plane. His plane jumped and twisted in the air. He observed that his compass was turning round and round. It seemed to be dead. He found that the radio also stopped working. Suddenly, he saw another aeroplane which was black and it had no lights. Its pilot waved at him, asking him to follow. He followed the pilot for half an hour. Suddenly, he observed that he was using his last fuel tank and he would be able to fly hardly for five or ten minutes. Then, the other pilot started to go down and he followed. Soon, he found that he had came out of the clouds when he saw the runway.
