The nucleus is considered to be the brain of the cell it is a spherical body surrounded by a double membrane called the nuclear membrane. this membrane bears many pores called nuclear pores.within the nuclear membrane lies the semi solid nucleoplasm, which contains several thread like fibres called chromatin fibres.these fibres carry genes.Nucleus also bears one or more rounded granules called nucleolus, which is an important site for protein synthesis.
