Palampur is a small village. Majority of people in palampur depends on farming for their livelihood either they are farmers or farm labours. It has 246 Hector's of available land. 75 percent of the villagers in Palampur depends upon farming. 2Most of the farmers use tube Wells for irrigation and employ modern farming method. Inspite of farming people's were involved in different types of activities like dairying, small scall manufacturing, transportation of goods etc. Out of 540 families 150 families were landless and most of them was dalits. 240 families out of those had own land.
