A paradoxical manpower situation is witnessed as surplus of manpower in certain categories coexists with shortage of manpower in others.
There is unemployment among technically qualified persons on one hand, while there is dearth of technical skills required for economic growth.
The high rate of unemployment among the educated is both due to the lack of sufficient jobs and poor schooling as well as the mediocre quality of education on offer at most colleges.
This makes large numbers of graduates unsuitable for employment that is commensurate with their degrees.
