1) In Awadh, the peasant movement was lead by indentured labour named, Baba Ramachandra.

2) It was against the talukdars and landloards who demanded high rents and revenue from the peasants.

3) As tenats they donot have sucurity of tenure.

4) The peasants movement demandedreduction on revenue, aboliton of baggar, socailboycott of landloards.

5) In many places nai dhobi bandhs were orgainsed to deprive of services of even barbers and washerman.

6) Oudh kisan sabha formed under the leadership of jawaharlal nehru , Baba ramchandra and few others.

1 IN AWADH THE PEASANTS WERE LED BY BABA RAM CHANDRA WHO HAD EARLIER BEEN TO FIJI AS AN INDENTURED LABOURER.

2 THE MOVEMENT WAS AGAINST TALUKDARS AND LANDLORDS WHO DEMANDED FROM PEASANTS EXORBITANTLY HIGH RENTS AND A VARIETY OF OTHER CESSES.

3 PEASANTS HAD TO DO BEGAR AND WORK AT LANDLORD FARMS WITHOUT ANY PAYMENT.

4 AS TENANTS THEY HAD NO SECURITY OF TENURE BEING REGULARLY EVICTED SO THAT THEY HAD NO RIGHT OVER THE LEASE LAND.

5 THE PEASANTS MOVEMENT DEMANDED REDUCTION OF REVENUE ABOLITION OF BEGAR AND SOCIAL BOYCOTT OF OPPRESIVE LANDLORD.

6 IN MANY PLACES NAI DHOBI BANDH WERE ORGANISED BY PANCHAYATS TO DEPRIVE LANDLORDS OF THE SERVICES OF EVEN BARBERS AND WASHERMAN.

7 OUDH KISAN SABHAWAS SET UP UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF JAWAHARLAL NEHRU AND BABA RAMCHANDRA AND FEW OTHERS.
