Coorg is one of the most visited tourist places in Karnataka and the Nisargadhama Forest. Coorg in 1989, it is a dazzling island with rich flora and fauna and a great getaway for those who want to escape from the ideal concrete jungle. It charms tourists with its lush greenery and an uncontaminated environment.

Formed by River kaveri, it is a 64-acre nature spot which houses everything from a deer park to boat rides and more. The hanging bridge is one of the greatest attractions of the forest

One of the most fascinating temples is the majestic Bhangandeshwara temple which has a Kerala style of architecture. It is situated at the convergence of the underground rivers, Sujyoti, Cauvery and Kanike. The temple has a copper roof with the exterior intricately carved with sculptures. On 17th October every year, devotees throng the region for a holy dip at Talacauvery or the origin of the seven holy rivers and to worship at the shrine. The origin of the river is at the top of Bramhagiri, 1535 m above sea level.
