Describe the placenta of rabbit

The rabbit placenta is a discoid, hemochorial placenta. Its hemodichorial structure with two cellular layers of chorion between the maternal and the fetal blood is more similar to human placenta than that of rodents which develops as a hemotrichorial placenta (Fischer etc.)
