The policeman on the beat moved up the avenue impression.  He tried the doors as he went, twirling his club with many intricate and artful movement, turning now and then to cast his watchful eye down the through fare. He had a stirdy,strong and faithful manner,and he walked with a slight swagger

The policeman  on the beat was very habitual with his job. he moved in a very impressive  way there were no spectators  on the street .he was trying doors and checking was everything fine . He was very watchful towards the main road this depicted he was very serious towards his job
