East India company thought to allow a policy called dived and rule according to this policy they thought when hindus and Muslim founght in eachother they busy in themself and no one opposed there unfare policies and problem occurs in there rule.

that east India company were practising the policy of divide and rule to weaken the nationalist movement and they encouraged the Muslims to form an organisation of their own.
