The political condition, in Europe, was unpredictable. It was because Germany kept attacking European countries, due to which supplies went low and the people had to suffer from food scarcity, some even had to abandon their houses and hide under caves.
While many lost their lives in the war, many women became a widow with their child left to rise all on their own and many children were left orphan.
Thus, political conditions went unstable. With the best hands involved in handling war, but failing to help people survive, there was not much space in the room for politics.
