Powers of Governor:

  1. The Governor appoints the leader of the majority part or the coalition as the Chief Minister.
  2. The council of Ministers is also appointed by him on the advice of CM.
  3. All appointments to the high offices in the state are made by the Governor.
  4. He can address, summon and dissolve the Legislative Assembly.
  5. Every bill, which the State Legislature Assembly passes, becomes a law only after the consent of Governor.
