Describe the principle of working of an electric motor .

Answer: The electric motor works on the magnetic effect of current. Its principle is when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it, a force acts on the coil, due to which the coil rotates. When the coil rotates the shaft attached to it also rotates.
