There were alot of problems faced by Weimar Republic after signing the treaty of versailles or The peace treaty. The treaty was that -
- Germany had to give 13% of their land, 75% of iron and 26% coal to France, Poland and Lithuania.
- Germany was demilitarised
- Allied Armies occupied resources rich Rhineland.
Germany paid 6 billion euros to allied armies as compensation of the war damage.
As Germany had to 6 billion euros to allied armies and that to in Gold, after the compensation, Weimar republic had to money left and as most of the industries of Germany were also taken by the allied countries they had no source of money and then to top it off happened the Hyperinflation when suddenly the prices hit the sky.
The causes of the hyperinflation were -
- Repaying War Loan in Gold
- Germany overprinted their paper currency mark
- France occupied the main industrial area of Germany (Ruhr)
