The problems faced by the Weimar Republic:

1. The treaty of Versailles- Many Germans held the new republic responsible not only for the defeat of Germany in World War 1 but also for the national humiliation at Versailles.

2. Economic crises- The Weimar was financially crippled by the war compensation impose on Germany.

3. Economic reforms- In 1923, the German government retaliated against the French occupation of Ruhr industrial area, by printing of enormous paper currency notes.

4. The great economic depression- The US withdrawal of loans led the situations worsen in Germany. About 6 million people lost their jobs and inflation became very high.
