on the day of polling,the voters needs to reach the prescribed polling station in his locality within prescribed voting time.

once there,he has to provide  his voter ID card to the boot level officer stationed at the pooling booth.
After verification of his identity,the voter can exercise his vote,in secrecy,via Electronic voting machines..

The procedure of voting on the polling day is described below-

1. People above the age of 18 years are eligible voters in India. They need to get their voter card issued to register themselves as qualified electors.

2. On the polling day, there are voting booths organized at each locality.

3. Voters have to go to the voting booth held in their location along with their voter cards.

4. The designated officials check the required documents and electors allotted to the voting ballots. They cast their votes with the EVM button which gets recorded.
