This process is carried out to separate cream from milk which later may be used for making butter or solid cream. This process of agitation of milk is termed aschurning. The process of churning is defined as the agitation of cream to form butter.

This is used for separating lighter particles suspended in a liquid. This is also known as centrifugation. In this method mixture is rotated at a high speed in a centrifuge machine. Butter is obtained by churning curd. Cream is obtained by churning unboiled milk. Churning is done with the help of mixer.
