✒️ Amoeba has irregular shape. It enlarges it shape and takes the food inside by the help of pseudopodia (false feet).

✒️ Then this food enters in Amoeba's body and in the body of amoeba many enzymes are present and it acts on that food then the food breakdown into small pieces and absorbed by the body.

✒️ After then the rest of food helps to regenerate the Amoeba's body and helps to repair the damaged part.

✒️ After that the rest of the food particles are thrown outside the body and hence it completes it digestion.

Amoeba possess " holozoic mode of nutrition" process known as "phagocytosis". The various steps involved in process of nutrition are: 1) ingestion,2) digestion 3) absorption 4) assimilation 5) egestion . Digestion in amoeba : various enzymes from the cytoplasm enter into the food vacuole and breakdown them into simple soluble molecules.
