hi...

The digestion in human being starts from mouth, down there the salivary gland is present from where saliva excrete and saliva mixes with food. With the help of the teeth we chew food and grind them properly. We chew food for two main reason, they are, The grind food easily goes downwards to the stomach through the oesophagus and secondly as we have very small microscopic cells so the nutrition which will reach to them must be microscopic or else the cells will fail to utilize nutrition. In stomach the food mixes with pancreatic juice and bile juice. Later the mixed food goes to small intestine which is even very very large in length than large intestine. Small intestine is termed as small because of its diameter. Small intestine has many villi( a finger like projection)which are e connected with capillaries and then blood gets the nutrition and runs to all our body. Later food goes large intestine then rectum and then anus and finally excretes

Answer:

The human digestive system consists of the gastrointestinal tract plus the accessory organs of digestion (the tongue, salivary glands, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder). Digestion involves the breakdown of food into smaller and smaller components, until they can be absorbed and assimilated into the body.
