after the pollination, the pollen grains land on stigma and it absorb sugar molecules from the stigma. There is growth of intine through a germ pore on exine which develops into the pollen tube. It passes through the style to reach the ovary . on both side in the ovary the micropyle and chalaza there are 4 cells of each that is antipodal cells and micropyle regions cells. out of that one from micropyle side and 1 from antipodal cells side come into the centre and both fuses and form new single cell with 2 nuclei.This process involves the joining of a female gametophyte with two male gametes. Double fertilization is a complex fertilization mechanism of flowering plants.
