In human beings, fertilization takes place inside the female body.

It is the fusion of male and female gametes, that is sperm and ovem, it is a first age in the process of reproduction during the fertilization, the nuclei of egg and sperm fuse together to form a single nuclei. This results in the formation of fertile egg or zygote.
