during male ejaculates semen into the vagina of female by penis. the sperm swim and reach in fallopian tube. here one of the sperm fuses with the ovum released by one of the ovary to complete the task of fertilizarion. the fertilized ovum is called zygote. rest of the sperm perish. the female is called pregnant. each sperm is a single cell with usual components. it consist of a head,middle piece and a long tail. ovum is also single celled. it is rounded in shape containing usual components of cell.
