Explanation:

Rayon is obtained by the chemical treatment of wood pulp. 1)Wood pulp is dissolved in an alkaline solution to form sticky liquid called viscose. 2)Viscose is forced to pass through the tiny holes of metal cylinder into a solution of sulphuric acid when a silk like thread of rayon is formed.

Answer:

Viscose process 1 cellulose obtain from different plant sources is made into pulp and its turned into a thick viscous liquid by soaking its into alkaline sodium hydroxide.

(2) This viscous liquid is dried into sheets. Sheets are shredded into crumbs.

(3) The crumbs are treated with carbon disulphide and dissolved into ammonia solution to prepare a thick viscous solution.

(4) Viscous solution is forced to pass through fine holes of spinnet and dropped directly in the dilute sulphuric acid.

(5) Viscous liquid settle immediately into a long and fine filament. Filament turns white and it's taken out of acid after 24 hours, dried and cleaned to obtain real fire in a spool.
