When acid react with base to gives water and salt is called neutralisation reaction
NaOH + HCl → Nacl H2O

When an acid and base react with each other they form the respective salt and water. Such reactions lose the acidicity or the basicity and thus are called neutralization. The H+ and OH- ions overcome each other and form respective salt and water as by products.

eg. HCL + NaOH --------- NaCl + H2O
Hydrochloric Acid + Sodium Hydroxide ---- Sodium Chloride + Water
