Neutralization reaction:
The acid react with base to form salt and water is called neutralization reaction.
HCl+NaoH-----------NaCl+H2O.

neutralization reaction is a type of reaction in which acid react with base to form salt and water.
acid + base=salt + water

we can prepare common salt as follows
HCl+NaOH=NaCl+H2O
