pepsin and tripsin are the enzymes which help in digesting proteins.

pepsin is secreted by gastric glands into stomach.

tripsin is secreted by pancreas into duodenum (starting part of small intestine).

the end product of protein digestion is peptones.

proteins are also digested by pancreatic juice and gastric juice

We know that PEPSINOGEN  present in the stomach.Which is in the inactive form. But HCL activates it and it becomes PEPSIN.

NOW PROTEIN breaks down into PEPTONES and PEPTIDES with the help of PEPSIN. which is of acidic nature.

then,

PEPTONES and PEPTIDES breaks down into PEPTIDES with the help of TRYPSIN which is of basic nature. And at last PEPTIDES breaks down into AMINO ACIDS with the help of ERYPSIN which is of basic nature. And amino acid is easily digestable.
