the rearing of silkworm is called sericulture. when adult female silk moth lays hundred of eggs on mulberry leaves, the eggs after some days hatch into caterpillar. the caterpillar feeds on the leaves continuously for days and start weaving a silk case to live in it. then people get it into hot water, the silk is then separated into fibres.
