Heya dear here is ur answer. Hope it helps. Mark it as brainliest please.
Transcription is the process by which DNA is copied (transcribed) to mRNA, which carries the information needed for protein synthesis. Transcription takes place in two broad steps. First, pre-messenger RNA is formed, with the involvement of RNA polymerase enzymes.

Answer:

Transcripion involves three stages, viz. Initiation. Elongation and Termination.

(1) Initiation

(a) RNA polymerase binds to promoter site.

(b) It then moves along the DNA and causes local unwinding of DNA duplex into two sirands in the region of the gene.

(c) Only antisense strand functions as template.

(2) Elongation

(a) The complementary ribonucleoside tri-phosphates get attached to exposed bases of DNA template chain.

(b) As transcription proceeds. the hybrid DNA-RNA molecule dissociates andnmakes m-RNA molecule free.

(c) As the m-RNA grows, the transcribed region of DNA molecule becomes spirally coiled and regains double helical form.

(3) Termination : When RNA polynerase reaches the terminator site on the DNA, both enzyme release
