Heya!

Here is the answer to your question!!

We already know that plants takes in simple compounds such as Carbon dioxide and photosynthesise energy stored in their chlorophyll-containing organs namely leaves.

The other kind of raw materials needed for building plants will also have to be taken separately.

For plants, the soil is the nearest and richest source of raw materials like nitrogen, phosphorous and other minerals.

The absorption of these substances therefore occur through the part in contact with the soil, namely roots.

Energy needs differ between different body designs. Plants do not move, and plant bodies has a large proportion.of dead cells in many tissues. As a result, plants have low energy needs and can use relatively slow transport system.

So coming into the main discussion.

Process of transportation of plants :

First let me tell you about the Transport of Water.

Water is transported through Xylem tissue.

In Xylem tissue, Vessels and Tracheids of the roots, stem and leaves are interconnected to form a continuous system of water - conducting channels reaching all part of the plant. At the roots, cell is in direct contact with the soil and actively tales up ions . This creates a difference in the concentration of these ions between the roots and the soil.

Water, therefore, move into the roots from the soil to eliminate this difference.

Now, Coming to the next part, i.e PHLOEM

With the help of phloem, the good is transported to different parts of the plant body.

So that's all!

Hope you got the answer..

Keep studying! :-)
