Actually according to the ACT OF 1956 passed by Majoritarian Sinhala Govt. in sri lanka , Sinhala Language was recognised as OFFICIAL LANGUAGE and the Sinhala applicants of Govt. jobs and colleges , were given preferences over Tamils one and it also declared that the govt. stipulated Buddishism as well.
