Describe the reaction of Acids with carbonates.

Answer:

When acid reacts with carbonate , it will form a salt , water and carbon dioxide gas . The carbon dioxide causes bubbling during the reaction.

Example :- Na2CO3 + 2HCl ----- 2NaCl + H2O + CO2
