Wands Petronski was a poor girl who lived in a small town with her brother and her father. She was often teased by her friends in class for wearing the same dress every day even though she would tell everyone that she had a hundred dresses at home.

She tried to become friends to Maggie and Peggy who on the other hand teased and bully Wanda for her poverty. Wanda left the school and both of them were stuck with guilt.  

She, however, was forgiving and she sent back a letter to her teacher drawing Peggy and Maggie with 2 beautiful dresses of the hundred she talked at school.
