2. after the defeat of peshwa bajirao ll by the holkars, the peshwa took help from the British and this was unexpected among other maratha leaders and this was the cause for the 2nd anglo -maratha war.

3. The main reason for the third anglo maratha war were the desire of marathas to get back their territories from the British and there extreme control of british over maratha chiefs and nobels.
