The reason for the forest rebellion in Bastar in 1919 are as follows :-

The rebellion starts from an place name Gunda Dhur

1..The British prohibited (banned)the shifting cultivation , shifting cultivation plays a very vital(important )role in providing food to the farmers .

2.They (villagers)are prohibited from their own villages .

3. They (Britishers) introduced scientific forestry.

4. The scientific forestry unable to cultivate their need crops .

5. As Britishers prohibited the villagers from their own villages, but they allowed them to live in the village if they work for them .

now the reaction of the Britishers ..the Britishers temporarily suspended the work on reservations and also the area to be reserved was reduced to roughly half that planned before 1910 ....

hope this will help you. (I leave my computer revision and answered your question .... but it's fine )
