Source of happiness in their lives
They relate their lives to that of characters in stories
It makes them enlightened and gives them the picture about ouside era
Many women became novelists like jane austen ,Bronte sisters
They got a way to fight for their betterment like for matters like widowhood,women education etc

There are many reasons for the popularity of novels among women's , five reasons from them are-:
◆ Once the print culture emerged, novels were widely read and become popular , novels produce a number of common interest among the scattered and varied readers.
● As the readers were drawn into the story and identified with the lives of fictitious character they could think about issues such as relationship between love and marriage , the proper conduct of men and women and so on.
◆ While reading a novel , the reader was transported to another person world and began to looking at life as it was experienced by the characters of novel.
● Beside novels allowed the pleasure of reading in private as well as the joy of publicily discussing or reading with friends and relatives .
◆ Novels written in vernacular or spoken languages of the pepole were particularly popular because these are closer to the heart of womens.
In short women find them in in the story.
