India is known to be country of religious, cultural and social diversity, because of the democracy the people of the country can share the equal rights, even the people who are in minority and have no chance of being heard, their voice is also heard and everyone pays attention to even the people who do not matter to the society. While casting a vote for the leaders, everyone can cast vote regardless of their status and their opinion, the elections are held every 5 years so the leaders also have the chance to correct their mistakes.
The media only shows that there are specific people who take the decision but in actual the story is different than what we see on tv, people who are not as powerful can also become the leaders of the country if they have the skills.
This in return make every person feel important and powerful and can also live in a more dignified manner.
