Anne Frank was only 13 and her sister Margot was 16 when they went into hiding during the Holocaust. During their two years in hiding, both Anne and Margot learned a lot about each other, their differences, similarities and how to be close during a time of so much fear.

Anne was the elder sister of Margot. She always had this feeling that her mother loved Margot more than her because she was well-mannered and studious. ... The two sisters don't often get along, are not close friends, and don't confide in each other much. Margot doesn't get much attention in Anne's diary.
